Blet is a small village, population 500 and stretching out to the Loire Valley in the Cher department. In the Center-Val de Loire region of France. All the castles of the valley are close by, rich in history, food-producing and wine region famous for sauvignon blanc.
Limoux is famous for its sparkling wine. Wine historians believe that the world's first sparkling wine was produced in this region in 1531, by the monks at the abbey in Saint- Hilaire, Aude. The main grape grown in the region is Mauzac blanc and Chenin blanc. A well-known wine commune and subprefecture in the Aude department, a part of the ancient Languedoc province and the present-day Occitanie region in southern France. Neatly situated along on the river Aude Limoux is about 30 km due south of Carcassonne. Another unknown to the visitors is that Limoux has its own currency. And tucked into the back streets is a fantastic little Coworking Community that has been going for over a decade now, and very community-focused.
