The Bay of Kotor with its sheltered harbours and white sandy beaches is one of Europe's hidden treasures. Also known as the Boka, or Boka Bay is the winding bay on the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Montenegro, and the region of Montenegro concentrated around the bay. The bay has been inhabited since antiquity.
Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. As of 2011, its population was 14,111. Tivat is the centre of Tivat Municipality, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro.
